First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) Cap
From 1 January 2010, the Victorian government has introduced a property value threshold of $750,000; only properties below this value may be eligible for the First Home Owner Grant.
First Home Bonus – Victoria
Established in May 2004, the First Home Bonus is an additional payment on top of the First Home Owner Grant that Victorian first home buyers may also be eligible for. The First Home Bonus allows for a $2,000 payment for the purchase of existing properties and $11,000 for newly constructed properties in metro areas. If purchasing a newly constructed property in regional Victoria, you may also eligible for an extended allowance of $4,500. To receive any of the above Bonus payments, the value of the property must not exceed $600,000.
