First Home Buyer Grants Queensland
In addition to the federal government's First Home Owners' Grant, the Queensland Government offers additional financial incentives for eligible first home buyers in the form of stamp duty concessions.
Queensland - First Home Buyer stamp duty concessions
As at September 2008, eligible first home buyers in Queensland have access to stamp duty concessions on transfer stamp duty. Mortgage duty has been abolished in QLD. Under the concession scheme, a first home buyer will pay no stamp duty on properties up to the value of $500,000. These concessions potentially save first home buyers up to $8,750 on transfer stamp duty costs.
