Although I don’t practice as a Financial Advisor or hold a current licence, my previous study in their area means I understand your financial plans and dreams and make sure that your finances meet your future as well as present financial needs. I am also happy to work with your financial planner and ensure your lending works towards achieving your overall financial plan.

Self-employed borrowers
Presenting information to lenders in the right way can make a big difference to what type of loan – or even if – you will secure. As an experienced mortgage broker and a self-employed borrower myself, I am experienced at putting together strong loan applications for self-employed borrowers. I work closely with your advisors such as accountants, book keepers, solicitors and financial planners to make sure that the right figures are in the right places to make the loan application process as straight forward as possible.
This applies whether you need finance for a home, investment or business loan. I also understand lender requirements for all structures including partnerships, companies, self-managed super funds, trusts, blind trusts and unit or hybrid trusts.

First home buyers
Having helped my own children as well as many others through the first home buying process I know how important it is to make sure that you understand everything about your finance before committing to your first home purchase. I also know how tough parents of first home buyers can find the process – in some cases it can be as stressful for them as the first home buyer themselves.
I realise how exciting, yet how daunting, it is making that first home purchase decision and can help you to make sure that you get all of your first home buyer entitlements as well as a home loan that is going be able to adapt to your circumstances as they change.
Self-managed super funds
Now that it is possible for self-managed super funds to borrow to increase their potential for future growth, there are some lenders who will work with you to appropriately structure your loan and others who don’t. I understand the process and can work with your accountant to make sure that you have the right loan structure to meet all ATO requirements as well as minimising those inevitable fees and charges.
Home loan pre-approvals
Not sure how much you can borrow? Want to make sure you don’t miss out at an auction? I have helped many a buyer to ensure that that dream home is theirs by putting them in a position to buy before they have bid at the auction or gone in to negotiate on a contract. There is nothing more disappointing than seeing a property you really want go to someone else because you didn’t have your finance ready. Let me help you to make sure it doesn’t happen to you by getting a home loan pre-approval before you even find the property you want.
Refinance
Not sure if your loan is working for you? I can help you work out how well your loan suits you and if there is a better one out there from a range of lenders. I will provide you with a free home loan “health check” and if it is looking a bit sick, suggest options for putting the “H” back into your wealth. Of course if you really do have the best deal for you right now, then I will let you know that too. My focus is on making sure you have the most appropriate finance for you.
Lo doc loans
If you are self-employed or don’t quite have all of the paperwork needed, I can still help you with your home loan needs. A lo doc (low documentation) loan may be the answer if you are self-employed with no financials, or even if it’s just “too hard” to get it all together. Be aware that lo doc loans may have slightly higher interest rates so if you do have the paperwork it could be well worth it to take the time to bring it all together.
Non-conforming loans
Credit problems can make it difficult to get a home loan. But, if you have a Telco debt or two (who doesn’t?), forgot to make a payment here and there or have had a run of bad luck in the past – all is not lost. I can help you to either find a lender that will provide you with a home loan now, or work with you to make sure that you are back on track to get a standard home loan in the future.
Rural and rural residential finance
Want to buy something out of town with a bit more space and away from the rat race? Size and location can make a difference to your loan options but I have access to lenders that will provide finance for rural and rural residential properties with a minimum of fuss. I can help you to make that idyllic dream property come true with the right home loan information.
Commercial/development finance
Development finance is tight in the current market but I can help you to present your project to those lenders who are still lending for development and find the lender that will believe in your project as much as you do. Working closely with my experienced Ray White colleagues I can also make sure that you have the best project marketing advice available prior to seeking your development finance.
Home loans for divorcees
Are you facing a divorce settlement and/or needing to refinance for a property settlement? I have been through this process myself (more than once – some people just never learn do they?) and know not just how traumatic it can be, but also how important it is to get the finance right for moving on with your life. I will work with you and your solicitor to help you to find the home loan that will get you back on your feet and moving ahead without adding any additional stress to what is already an extremely stressful time.

Are you too busy working or sleeping 9:00 – 4:00 Monday to Friday to make it out to someone’s office? I can come to you at a time that suits you. I don’t keep “normal” working hours, so when you need to talk to me, that is when I am available.
