New Client Preliminary Assessment Documents

The Loan Market compliance team has been working with a number of brokers to streamline the customer information gathering process, whilst ensuring we meet all of our compliance obligations. As we recognise that our brokers operate in different ways depending on the customer, this process provided avenues for information to be captured either electronically or manually.

As such the following documents have been developed:

Combined (Parts 1&2) Customer Preliminary Assessment
This document can be used on its own, and completed by the broker and customer together manually

Fact Find Part 1 of 2 - INTERACTIVE
This document can be emailed to the customer to complete electronically- it needs to be used in conjunction with the "CPA Part 2 of 2” document.

Fact Find Part 1 of 2 - MANUAL
This document can be given to the customer to complete manually- it needs to be used in conjunction with the "CPA Part 2 of 2” document.

CPA Part 2 of 2
This document needs to be completed by the broker and customer together manually- it needs to be used in conjunction with either the "Fact Find Part 1 of 2 INTERACTIVE" or the "Fact Find Part 1 of 2" documents.

These documents are available in the ‘Important Documents’ section of MyCRM, as well as the ‘Business Documents’ section of Symmetry.

The use of Old CPA documents is being phased out.

Only use the OLD CPA documents where you've not yet made the move to MyCRM. The use of the new manual (hand-written) CPA documents is otherwise required.

Where you’ve made the move to MyCRM, use only the NEW documents for manual Client Preliminary Assessments.

We're open and receptive to hearing any issues and considering any suggestions our broker network raise, however in terms of potential amendments or updates to these forms, the Compliance Team will own this process to ensure version control.

A big issue with the old CPA was that there was inadequate content control, which greatly impacted our capacity to ensure brokers were best equipped to fulfil their responsible lending obligations.

This was of great risk to the business - as a result, it is a Loan Market Compliance directive that interference with the composition of the new CPA documents to any degree is not permitted.

Call-a-thon wrap up

Thank you to everyone who took part in last week’s Call-a-thon, as part of LINK 2017. Some positive results were achieved across the network, with more than 400 calls made to clients, leading to an increased number of appraisals scheduled and appointments booked.

These results highlight the importance and effectiveness of the annual client review as a tool to help you strengthen your relationships with clients, to understand their needs and plans, and to introduce them to Wealth Market, Asset Finance and Ray White.

The training materials that were developed to help you make the most of your client annual reviews are always available on Springboard so make sure to check them out if you haven’t already.
