A Message about Peter Camphin

After 28-years as a leader in the White Family Group of companies, in both Ray White and Loan Market, Peter ‘Camfo’ Camphin, has made the decision that he is retiring from full-time work with the Group.

The good news is that we won't be losing Camfo completely.

He will be working one day a week with Loan Market whilst pursuing some other interests outside of the real estate and finance industries.

Peter’s impact on our Group.

Peter has been one of the genuine leaders in our business. All of us who have been fortunate enough to work with Camfo know how genuine his interest is in helping people. He has a deep commitment and respect for our franchisees and the people in our group and has been a great ambassador for our brand and our family. He has also had a significant impact on the careers of businesses owners across both groups and is credited by many as a catalyst in their success.

Among his many achievements during his 18 years at Ray White Peter led a slow, but constant erosion of the tightly-held Queensland real estate market and in 2007 Ray White Queensland achieved a record for market share across the state.

After a long and distinguished career with Ray White - which included leadership roles, in the early days with Ray White Victoria and, separately, New Zealand, Camfo joined the Loan Market leadership team and has made a huge difference.

Most recently he was appointed the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Ray White and Loan Market Groups to nurture and build relationships between our two groups.

During his time with Loan Market, he also played a significant role in attracting key talent to our Queensland network and was integral in the development of the Bring Your Own Brand (BYOB) initiative that allows savvy business owners the opportunity to join Loan Market, without having to give up their brand.

When speaking about Camfo, Ray White Chairman, Brian White said:

“Peter joined Ray White at the time when the company began its substantial expansion, leading our networks in Victoria, New Zealand and Queensland. He developed a great reputation amongst our Ray White business owners for his never-failing enthusiasm and endorsement of their achievements.”

Commenting on his time with the group thus far, Peter said:

“I never imagined that the opportunity Brian presented to me almost 30-years ago, would become such a significant part of my life. I am indeed very fortunate and express my enormous gratitude to the many people, across all parts of the company and the industry, who have placed their trust in me in supporting their careers and businesses.

“My thanks to those talented people I have been blessed to work closely with, who helped me develop personally and professionally. Through all the highs and lows, I have made many long-lasting friendships and memories which I hold dear.”

Peter’s ongoing role with Loan Market.

Camfos ongoing part-time role with our group will be to help train the corporate team, in both Ray White and Loan Market, to help recognise and promote the opportunities there are across the two brands. We look forward to this new phase of working with Camfo and benefiting from his years of experience.

I am delighted that we will be able to keep working with Camfo on a part-time basis as he starts the next phase of his career and of course all of us wish him the best for the future.

Camfo will be pursuing a new role as a leader at Store Local, a fast-growing storage company in Australia.

I trust you will join me in wishing Peter all the best for his future endeavours.
