Loan Market NSW set new record
The Loan Market NSW team achieved a new record in November, topping two national leaderboards within the group: broker settlements and personal bests.
In November, of the top 10 brokers who settled the highest volume of loans, seven were from NSW and seven of the 10 highest personal bests were also achieved by NSW brokers.
Loan Market NSW state director, Michael Karpathakis said the results were testament to continued growth of brokers.
“In 2015, we saw a shift in direction within our network. A lot of our brokers are now focussed on expanding their business and have taken measures throughout 2015 to achieve this.
“We’re seeing a growing number of brokers employing personal assistants and loan writers. We’ve seen more brokers open shopfronts and also diversify their businesses as they move into commercial lending and asset finance,” he said.
Mr Karpathakis went on to say that Loan Market provide systems for continually increasing capacity as broker businesses grow.
“One of the most challenging areas for brokers is keeping up with increased volume, particularly as they first start to see growth. We’ve implemented systems to support our brokers and enable them to continue on an upwards trajectory.
“We offer our brokers one-on-one time with an external profit coach each year. This allows them to work with someone outside the group to identify growth potential and the areas that will be most profitable to their business.
“Our results in November reflect the hard work of the year and it’s great to see it pay off,” Mr Karpathakis said.
One such broker is Amanda Barros, who joined the mortgage broking industry less than 18 months ago. Amanda not only achieved a personal best in November but was also the number one broker nationally, achieving more than $13.5 million in settlements.
As Mr Karpathakis explained, the structure of the Loan Market Group is designed to build businesses.
“Generally, a broker’s business will reach a ceiling and our role as the franchisor is to continually lift that ceiling. We’re proud that we’ve been able to support Amanda as she saw rapid growth within her business. Her results show how much she has achieved in such a short time. How proud we are to have her in our family.”
