Loan Market in North West Tasmania

Leading independent mortgage broker Loan Market has established a new office in North West Tasmania which is expected to help local buyers and investors save money and invest in the community.

Highly experienced mortgage broker Craig Barwick has brought 28 years of finance industry experience to his recently opened office in Burnie and he aims to help the market handle the increased level of activity during the summer season.

Mr Barwick said that North West Tasmanian property market was much like most Australian regional property markets who were seeing heightened activity levels and increased credit enquiries because of low interest rates.

“There are some terrific housing and investment opportunities in the North West region of Tasmania, especially in Devonport, Ulverstone, Wynyward and Burnie. For home buyers there’s are high levels of stock to choose from and for investors, rental yields are holding firm through the summer.

Mr Barwick said the main advantages for the community to have a leading independent mortgage broker in the community was that he could “open the flood gates” for competitive mortgages for first Home buyers, investors, refinancers and self employed borrowers.

“I’m able to provide Tasmania consumers access and guidance through a panel of 30 different lenders and 800 different loan products. This means that this market is going to be able to shop around from a number of lenders who residents wouldn’t normally have considered,” Mr Barwick said.

Mr Barwick said because of his ability to ‘shop around’ from a wide range of lenders he could negotiate better deals for clients and ultimately help them feel more confident in their purchasing decisions.

“I’m very excited to begin working with the community to help other residents save money. This is great place to live and set up a business and I look forward to supporting this community grow.”
