New venture pairs Loan Market with leading Ray White team

Award-winning broker Nitish Kumar has joined Loan Market in a partnership that strengthens the offering to customers of leading real estate agency, Ray White Canberra.

Ranked by industry journal The Adviser as one of the Top 30 Brokers Under 30 after switching from a career in real estate, Mr Kumar will head the new Loan Market business in Ray White Canberra’s recently opened Belconnen office. The new business is a partnership with Ray White Canberra’s CEO Ben Faulks

The Loan Market-Ray White venture enables Mr Kumar to build on his outstanding relationships throughout the ACT while offering added opportunities and convenience to customers of Ray White Canberra. Last year, Ray White Canberra facilitated more than 600 transactions in the marketplace whilst its property rentals division managed more than 1,000 investment properties on behalf of investors.

Mr Kumar is the second Loan Market specialist to partner with the Ray White team after existing Loan Market broker Craig Butt who has enjoyed a longstanding relationship assisting the team from their Woden office in the ACT’s south.

Having spent five years in Canberra real estate, Mr Kumar gravitated to broking three years ago,  helping buyers, sellers and investors in the complementary component of their real estate journey.

“As a former real estate agent, I developed a strong grasp of what motivated buyers and sellers in their property journeys,” said Mr Kumar. “As a broker, I sit down with customers to recommend and secure a suitable product for their circumstances, complementing their real estate ambitions.”

Ray White Canberra CEO Ben Faulks and Mr Kumar share history together: Mr Kumar’s brother, Kunal, was formerly a sales associate to Mr Faulks.

“I’ve known Ben for many years and his team enjoys extensive marketplace, locally, based on years of trust and premium outcomes for customers,” said Mr Kumar.

“I’m looking forward to partnering with his agents and property managers to help them service their clients’ needs amidst a financial landscape which has seen lenders routinely shift their policies.”

Mr Faulks said the decision to open the Loan Market franchise with Mr Kumar was an appropriate cultural fit.

“Nitish fits perfectly with our philosophy of service before sale,” said Mr Faulks.

“He values a relationship above a simple transaction and will enable us to expand our service offering to our growing client base.”

Loan Market’s National Operations Manager Mindy Powell-Hodges said the new franchise would bring greater value and service to buyers, sellers and investors in the Canberra market.

“This new venture will deliver an exceptional partnership to benefit customers throughout Canberra,” she said. “In addition to servicing his existing clients, Nitish will offer excellent support to Ray White’s sales agents and property managers in their service commitments to clients.”

The new Loan Market franchise will offer residential and commercial property lending solutions and also have access to Wealth Market and Home Now services.
