I met one customer yesterday. She made an offer as $360,000 under her own name (husband is working overseas and receives foreign income).
Her income is not good enough to service the loan, so I asked her to provide her husband's evidence of income to support her loan application. She was very suprised to know her husband's income is acceptable to Australia bank as she had been advised that overseas income would not be acceptable.
She said she would have bought a better house if she had known that before she made the offer. It is a pity for her first home, but it is good to know for the future.
