Speers Point Complex

Speers Point has been a family favourite for many years with the open spaces for picnics, a swimming pool, the newly revamped adventure playground and is now positioned to be a premier site for soccer enthusiasts.

Development of the site with 2 full sized and ten five-a-side synthetic fields was budgeted for in last months state government Hunter Infrastructure Fund. The development has now been given the green light by Lake Macquarie council with a 40 year lease being offered at last nights council meeting.

The site is already planned for use by many, with Lake Macquarie hosting the children's games next year and is set to host training camps for the 2015 Asian Cup according to Lake Macquarie mayor Jodie Harrison who says "it should be ready by December next year".

The continued development of Speers Point makes this area a very desirable location to live, with a combination of great sporting facilities and outstanding lake views.
