Important process reminder: Verification of Identity

This notice is a request to ensure your platforms are highlighting the following important information.

Digital/electronic forms of identification are not accepted by Suncorp when completing Verification of Identity (VOI). This is particularly relevant in those states where drivers’ licences are digital only – and in all states where any forms of identification are digital. 

If a broker’s customer presents digital identification for the purposes of VOI, they should refer to the VOI certificate for alternative, acceptable forms of identification. Brokers will be asked to follow the VOI certificate guidelines to help ensure a smooth settlement certification process.

Please note this is applicable to the process of both face-to-face VOI and non-face-to-face VOI.

Brokers will be asked to access our current VOI process and VOI FAQs documents at any time via their Suncorp broker portal, Business Partners Online
