Senior New Zealand finance broker Bruce Patten has claimed top honours at the annual awards for Australasia’s largest independently owned retail mortgage brokerage Loan Market.
Auckland-based Mr Patten, who settled almost $NZ100 million in 2011-12, was named as Loan Market’s International Broker of the Year at Loan Market’s international conference in Melbourne.
Daniel Esposito, from Loan Market Manningham in Melbourne, was runner up for international honours but named no.1 broker for Australia. The Loan Market Manningham office has also been nominated in the Brokerage of the Year category at next month’s Australian Mortgage Awards in Sydney.
Another Australian Mortgage Award nominee, Josh Bartlett of Cheltenham in Melbourne, was named Loan Market’s International Rookie of the Year.
Loan Market Executive Chairman, Sam White, congratulated all award winners and said the two-day conference at the Crown Casino had been a tremendous success.
“The event has been invaluable for providing insights into future developments for our industry,” he said.
“Our conference certainly lived up to its theme of ‘Let’s Get Loud’.
“It was fantastic to have so many brokers, lenders, support staff and senior management from throughout Australia and New Zealand together in the one place.
“The various sessions with leading industry figures and our own experts during the conference proved to be most insightful and beneficial.”
Loan Market Bendigo broker Trevor Shand was no.1 of the Top 10 New Brokers in 2012 while Melbourne broker Grant Rheuben was named Commercial Broker of the Year.
Lisa Royans and Holly Hammond both won the award for Administrator of the Year.
“All of our corporate staff put in some phenomenal efforts this year, however these two girls really rose to the occasion and are well and truly the back-bone of our company.”
Loan Market thanked all of its sponsors and announced ANZ as its Lender of the Year.
