How much deposit will I need?

Most banks will require a 5% deposit sourced from genuine savings. If you are not in a position to prove genuine savings there are alternative options available. One such option is a limited guarantor loan, also sometimes called a family pledge. A limited guarantor loan uses equity in a family member’s property to secure against a new purchase, reducing the upfront cost to the purchaser. In some case’s this option also allows the purchaser to avoid paying lenders mortgage insurance. Gifts and inheritances may also be used in some cases to help fund
